Make this truffle cheese for your friend or family and you will be sure to impress all your guests at the next dinner party. Indulge with this truffle infused brie or Brillat-Savarin, accompanied with fresh bread, nothing more.
Ingredients
- 1 Brillat Savarin or Brie cheese
- 150 g mascarpone
- 150 g cream cheese
- 100 g truffle paste
- 20 g truffle Salt and pepper
Method
- Place all your ingredients in a mixing bowl: Cream cheese, mascarpone, truffle paste, salt and pepper. Mix all together gently to keep a smooth texture. Cling film your bowl and place in the fridge.
- Cut the cheese in half and remove the trimmings. Tip: put your knife in hot water first to help cut the cheese neatly.
- Stuff the cheese: put the mix in the middle of one half and spread evenly.
- Cut your black truffle with a mandolin creating very thin slices and add on top of the cream mix. Close with the other half and spread any of the cream base onto the sides
- Keep in the fridge for 2 days before serving
- Serve with bread.
*Tip: Instead of truffle, a chutney could be a nice alternative to creating a flavoured cheese.
